Who Needs A Good Digital Camera Anyway?
Does the thought of taking your very expensive digital camera 200 feet underwater send shivers down your spine? I know it does for me. Although, having seen some truly incredible underwater shots, it's hard not to wonder if it's worth the risk. After looking around a bit, I've found some underwater camera cases that are truly magnificent feats of engineering and design. That's not to say they all are. Some, I wouldn't trust in my kids wading pool. But the really good ones are quite remarkable.
You will find many different memory cards that have different capacities for holding images. There is the SanDisk, which can hold two gigabytes or one gigabyte of images. Most users find that the one gigabyte is sufficient for what they need.
External controls protrude through the casing, and make physical contact with the camera controls inside the casing. While the other end of those same controls provide user buttons and dials that can be operated in a totally immersible marine environment. They're not cheap mind you, quality products never are.
As we move on to Paris, we also move up the ladder in the digital camera food chain so to speak. Not only in size, buy also in functionality, image quality, and of course, the all important price tag. Paris, is not so concerned in size and portability, but more in the quality of pictures and features her camera can offer. She doesn't plan to carry her camera just anywhere she goes, but will definitely bring it out for specific occasions . Birthdays, Christmas, vacations, and other holidays are all important events in the life of Paris, as her family grows. She wants to capture those moments on film (or disk these days) and be able to look back on them for years to come. Being a busy mom, Paris doesn't have time to fiddle with f-stops,aperture settings, and white balance. She doesn't even know (or want to know), what those things are. Simplicity is still important here.
The digital camera memory card will hold different amounts of images. For instance, the six megapixel camera with a one gigabyte memory card will hold approximately three hundred images before you have to transfer pictures. The higher the megapixels the less the memory card will hold. Beside the different companies that make the memory card there are six different types.
There is the multimedia, SmartMedia, xD memory cards, secure Digital, MemoryStick and CompactFlash memory cards to choose from when you are looking for storage. The type and size you need will depend on the amount of images you need to store.
Choosing the right memory card, doesn't have to be a difficult decision. These days there are different choices, and it's not just to do with memory size anymore. Speed and security are also factors in price for a memory card. The question is, what speed and security do you need in a card?
