Adobe Photoshop CS4 Review

In the history of digital photography software, there has never been a time that we can achieve such phenomenal results in editing as has happened in the digital age. There are so many tools available to us on computer and the Internet that allow us to enhance and change images and photos but none are better or more versatile than Adobe Photoshop.  This digital photography editing softwarehas become so synonymous with editing and creating effects that the term, “to Photoshop” has become a verb that means to enhance or alter an image.

We can “Photoshop in” new outfits, accessories or even people to a shot where it was just not possible before.  So if you want a picture of you shaking hands with the president, you don’t have to go to Washington to get it, just “Photoshop” your image into the image of the president and it will look as real as if you had been there.

Similarly, we can “Photoshop” out things from a picture we don’t want to see there anymore.  So if you have a physical flaw, that can be removed. You can get rid of that distracting person in the background with ease. This digital photography editing software is so sophisticated that you will be able to alter any image and not ever be able to tell it.

Photoshop has become such a de facto standard for photo processing that if you are setting up a photography studio or business, a copy of the software is as necessary as Microsoft word or PowerPoint. This software is readily available and a lot of people know how to use it and that is good.  So if you feel insecure about learning yet another computer application, you can probably find a college student, someone at the high school or maybe the junior high that knows Photoshop in and out and can help you jump start your use of the software as well.

However, Photoshop has not always been the dominate program.  The program was created in 1989 by two brothers, John Knoll and Thomas Knoll. The brothers created Photoshop for their custom use, but it wasn't long before the market was clamoring after it.John and Thomas were pretty smart so the founded a company called Adobe in 1990.

Adobe has been a shining example of how to achieve success in the age of the Internet.I don't know of anyone today is not aware of Adobe.I don't think there is a computer working today that does not have a free copy of Adobe reader on it.This little company has created and then taken over a particular market of online business with the PDF format.

To really become skilled at using Photoshop, the first thing to do is probably find a copy to play with. You can probably find a friend's computer that has Photoshop on it so you can tinker with it a bit.  Then if your friend is a wizard at Photoshop, let him or her show you some of the real “wiz-bang” things they can do with Photoshop using the same menus you were just tinkering with.Be careful, a little Saturday afternoon picture taking spree might make you a Photoshop addict forever.

Afterwards you will need to buy a copy yourself. There are evaluation versions that give you most of the features available.Only if you are not sure you want to buy a copy, will you really need this.Photoshop dominates this market so you will want to buy a copy but make sure you get a licensed copy to avoid some frustration.I know you will soon find yourself just playing around with the software for hours on end just having fun and that is OK.Utilizing organized classes in Adobe Photoshop need not be overlooked because they can very valuable.Photoshop classes can show you shortcuts on how to get the most our of the software.

After you learn this great software program the only limit you will have is your imagination in using this tool to make pictures better for your customers. You will be able to proudly proclaim, that's alright, I can fix that in Photoshop.".”
