Which Kind Of Photography Lighting Kit Is For Me?
With photography lighting, angles and light play key roles in generating great shots consistently. Many photographers are aware of the importance of proper lighting. It is simply a question of what type of studio lights or photography lighting kits would produce the best photographs for there particular situation. Continous lighting or strobe lighting, also called flash lighting.
To simulate sunlight, many professional photographers utilize flash lighting kits to generate the optimal lighting temperature of 56K. Which often create the best photographic image results. These flash strobe studio lights and kits require that the photography lights themselves be synched timing wise with the photographers camera to flash in time with the shutter’s lens. Most flash lights will do this from a slave sensor that's built into the flash light. A photographer only has to synch his camera to one flash light, this timing will be transmitted to all of the the other flash lights and they will all flash together.
Continous photography lighting kits operate much simpler on the other hand, no synching required. There are two popular variations for continuous lighting to choose from, fluorescent and halogen studio lighting kits for both photography and video production. Glowing brightly, continous lighting gives a constant and sustained lighting source for photographers with a flip of a switch.
Fluorescent lighting for photography is much more energy efficient than halogen lighting kits are. For photography lights that are cool to the touch and produce no heat, fluorescent lighting is the answer. Unlike the hot lights which halogen studio lights are sometimes referred to as. Halogen bulbs burn brighter than fluorescent bulbs but also use more electricity and create heat as well. It's worth keeping this in mind when comparing the two for production lighting in photography or video.
Flash lighting doesn't have the speed or ease of use that continous lighting does so many photographers find continous lighting more to there liking. Whether you are shooting portraits or product shots or even video, these types of photography lighting kits will assist you in attaining high quality results with a flip of a switch.
